Tim McLean was born May 18, 1951, to John “Jack” and Marjorie McLean. He graduated from Munich High School in 1969. He served with the North Dakota Army National Guard at Cando for a time. He was united in marriage to Pat Hall on July 7, 1973. He worked in the lumberyard business his entire life. He started working at Robertson Lumberyard in Munich and later moved to Devils Lake and worked as Manager at Great Plains, UBC and later ProBuild. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening. He built a cabin with his sons where he enjoyed spending time each summer with his family. He was always quick with a joke and no one escaped his teasing. There was nothing he loved more than his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He was a fighter until the very end and his family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife Pat of Devils Lake; children Sara (Aaron) Bruce of Bozeman, Mont., Chad McLean of Devils Lake, Ryan McLean of Grand Forks and Lindsey (Mark) McLean Egan of Duluth, Minn.; grandchildren Taylor, Eli and Emery Bruce; his brother John McLean of Walhalla and sisters Marc (David) Borden of Knoxville, Tenn. and Lori (Gary) Wirth of Munich and many loved nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marjorie McLean, his father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Ethel Hall, and several aunts and uncles.
