A celebration of life was held at the United Methodist Church in Langdon on Thursday, October 9, 2014 for Annie Johnson, 79, of Wales.

Annie was born Ruth Ann Estenson to Floyd Oliver and Vera Irene (Hodgins) Estenson on October 10, 1934 in Sarles where she was raised. She graduated from Sarles High School in May of 1952 and was united in marriage to Jerry Allyn Johnson on November 25, 1952. Annie loved cooking, playing cards, bingo, garage sales, Chinese food and Sunday family picnics in Wales. She was a devoted wife and mother, loved by all, and a devout Christian who embraced her Lord, loved life and will forever be our Guardian Angel. She loved the warmer weather therefore her ashes will be scattered in Arizona.
Annie is survived by her husband: Jerry A. Johnson from Wales and their five children: Jeanne (Tom) Noble of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Sherry (Johnny Rueger) Harshman of Langdon, Jan Johnson of Tempe, Ariz., Jim (Mary Feil) Johnson of Langdon and Jo Ann Johnson of Langdon; nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Jody, Andrew, Samantha, Melissa, Alyson, Megan, Tara and Lyndee; nine great-grandchildren; sister (Helen) Kay Westerhoff of Corte Madera, Calif.; and three brothers-in-law as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, infant sister Barbara Jean, and nephews Mark Johnson and Troy Johnson.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Cavalier County Senior Meals and Services (Langdon) in her memory.
