DeLorace was born June 17, 1921, in Langdon to Clarence and Lydia (Lundby) Baker. She attended grade school and high school in Osnabrock Township. On October 14, 1940, she married Eldon Reed. Together they farmed in Union Township, rural Caledonia, for many years before moving into the city of Caledonia in 1979. On May 20, 1993, Eldon preceded DeLorace in death. She was a strong advocate of Semcac in Caledonia and served in many capacities and on their board for 36 years. She also delivered meals on wheels for RSVP and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caledonia, where she helped with Do-Day (quilters). She loved gardening when she was able and canning. Most of all, her biggest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a selfless person, always putting the needs of others before her own.
