She died Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks

Roberta Louise Brumfield was born August 5, 1930 in Forman, the daughter of Gene and Viola (White) Brumfield. She was reared in Enderlin and graduated from Enderlin High School. She went to San Francisco, Calif. and graduated from Dental Nursing School. She returned to Enderlin and Roberta and C. Kent Cable were married May 20, 1949. Following their marriage, they owned and operated the Enderlin Independent Newspaper. They moved to Langdon and she was employed with the Cavalier County Republican Newspaper. In 1984, they moved to Grand Forks where they owned and operated Copy Cat Printing until their retirement in 1993. She loved music and directed church choirs in Enderlin and New Rockford. She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Grand Forks, Royal Neighbors and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Kent; sons: Richard (Diana) Cable, Mayville, Robert (Jane) Cable; a grandson, Chad; a daughter, Lynda Jo (Al Miller) Cable, all of Grand Forks; sister-in-law, Betty (Mrs. Richard) Brumfield, Cincinnati, Ohio, Audrey (Mrs. Roger) Brumfield, West Fargo and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard Brumfield and Roger Brumfield.
