“The purpose is to have house concerts where the musicians can enter a home and perform an intimate concert,” said NLAC executive director Carol Hart. “We expect to have another one on March 2 in the home of Bruce and Elsie Magnus.”
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the door. The suggested admission price is $15 for adults and $5 for students.
The musicians, Al and Emily Cantrell of Nashville, Tenn., have performed in front of audiences across the country and in Canada.
The Cantrells, who will be paid by money from ticket sales, will perform a show complete with Bluegrass, Celtic and Western swing music while allowing guests to get up close and personal with them throughout the show.
“We want to encourage everyone to come and see top notch musicians in a different way,” said organizer Diane Schill. “We appreciate them stopping in Langdon on their way home.”
Hart was excited for the opportunity to piggy-back with Home Routes to make the show happen.
“We want to bring a different musical experience to our community,” she said. “We will have a setting where guests can visit with the musicians.”
