Dee Entzi has a passion for writing.

She started in high school writing, and wrote not only stories, but also lyrics for local musicians. The love of writing continued until she discovered another passion, emergency care. This passion took her to North Dakota State College of Science where she earned her paramedic certification. After spending time with her sister and brother-in-law, Christa and Jesse Johnson, working at their bar, Sportys, she determined that Langdon would be a great place to live. She moved in June to take a position with the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital Ambulance Service as a paramedic.
One evening Entzi began talking with Lori Peterson, Cavalier County Republican Publisher about how much she enjoys writing. When a vacancy at the newspaper came open, Peterson contacted Entzi about writing.
“I was surprised to be asked by Lori, but excited to have the chance to write again.” Entzi says.
Entzi has already written a few stories for the paper, and will continue to write as a part-time writer. Currently, her main focus will be human interest stories, but will cover a variety of stories as needed.
