Langdon summer baseball signup goes well
April 30 was the annual Sign Up Night for all summer baseball and softball programs in Langdon. A flood of kids in all levels got signed up. All programs are expected to begin the first week of June. More information on that will be coming in the weeks ahead. If you missed the signup and want to get your children involved, simply drop off or fill out a registration form at Langdon City Hall. There is still plenty of time to get your child signed up.
Girls golfers take first place in Larimore
It’s been a long time coming but the Langdon golf teams finally got underway with their season the past week. The Cardinals girls golf team took first place in their first meet of the year at Larimore April 29. They had a team score of 422, with Brynn Fischer just missing medalist honors scoring a 92. Jayden Romfo was next with a 108 followed by Andria Hart at 109, Krystal Ratzlaff at 113, Kylie Kram 118, and Shea Ormiston with a 122. Taking first place in their first tournament of the year should only mean good if not great things for the girls golf team this season.

Langdon Basketball ends a successful run
The 2014 Langdon Area Basketball Camp ended a very successful season the last week of April. Over 80 boys and girls from all over Cavalier County attended and really excelled at the sport as the camp went on. The organizers wanted to thank the Langdon Eagles Club, the TR Waind Insurance Agency, United Communications, FM State Bank, D & B Motors, Choice Financial, Mostad Insurance Services and Simplot Grower Solutions for sponsering the camp. Thanks as well to everyone who helped run things — Dustin Brodina, Lane Christanson, Brandon Badding, Christ Olson, Alex Chaput, Troy Romfo, Jim Nuelle, Josh Overby, Jayden Smith and Tim Kingzett. It’s great to see kids get involved in sports and this camp will be held again next year.
“See ya!” next week!
