The event took place on May 30 at a new location; Boyd Block on Main Street in Langdon. Combining the new location and the evening being threatened by possible rain showers, the committee was unsure of how the night would turn out. As the weather surprisingly held up, the Relay was better than the committee could have hoped for.

“I thought the new location of Relay was great! We’ve been hearing a lot of positive feedback about it,” commented RFL chair Amber Sperling. She continued. “ We had a good turnout from survivors, teams, and others there just to take in the evening.”

Those that participated experienced a heartfelt evening of remembrance and celebration as those affected by cancer shared their stories and honored their loved ones throughout the night. Not only was it a touching and emotional night, it was a night of fun and laughter as the community gathered to enjoy live music and games, all for a good cause. The committee would like to thank everyone who helped make this years Relay a successful one and they encourage everyone to get involved in future events.

The committee will be accepting donations until August and will have their final fundraiser on July 26 with a 5K. Details on the event have not yet been announced.
