Rick Ring recently passed down his company, Rings Aerial Spraying, to employee and former student, Ryan Howatt, of Langdon. Since getting his pilots certificate in 2009 and completing flight school in 2010, Howatt has been working closely with Ring who has not only been his boss, but also a mentor.
“He was an excellent student and he’s a great pilot, “ commented Ring. “ During his check ride with the Federal Aviation Department, several comments were made that he did very well.”
Though Ring, who has been in the business for 35 years, is handing the ownership over to Howatt, he will still remain a part of the business and continue to fly for Howatt Air.
“Its been great having someone with his knowledge and experience teach me to fly and spray, and now having him continue on with me is a huge bonus, “ stated Howatt.
The business will continue to provide custom spraying services and operate out of the Langdon Airport.
“I’m excited to take over a business with such a good reputation for quality spraying and that has been going for so long. I’m really looking forward to continuing that reputation and providing a great spraying service for the farming community, “ remarked Howatt on the new ownership.
