Gallagher is originally from Jamestown. He attended Jamestown High School and after graduating went to Lake Region State College where he received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement.
“Becoming a police officer is something I have always wanted to do since I was a child,” Gallagher stated.
While Gallagher attended high school he went on several ride-alongs with the local law enforcement agencies. It was during those ride-alongs Gallagher realized that being a law enforcement officer would be a great career.
What Gallagher is most looking forward to in his new position as a Cavalier County Sheriff’s Deputy is simply just serving and protecting the people of Cavalier County.
“I wanted to become part of the department because I have always enjoyed the area and people of Cavalier County while visiting,” Gallagher said.
“I also believe that the Cavalier County Sheriff’s Department is a very well run agency with a great group of employees that will be a privilege to work with,” Gallagher continued.
At his previous position with the Jamestown Police Department Gallagher was very active in the community. Once he is settled into his new position he does plan on being involved and active in the community of Langdon.
“As a new officer in the community, I would like to tell the public to not be afraid to introduce themselves as I am always interested in meeting new people. I am also excited and looking forward to serving Cavalier County,” Gallagher stated.
Welcome to Langdon, Deputy Gallagher!
