A funeral service was held at Immanuel Baptist Church, Palmer, Alaska on July 20, 2015 for Lois M. Howatt, 78, of Palmer, Alaska.

She died June 21, 2015. A memorial service will be held at Emmanual Evangelical Church in Langdon, on July 31 at 2:00 p.m.
A family graveside service will follow.
Lois was born on April 14, 1937 in Ramsey County. She lived most of her life in North Dakota, marrying Neil Howatt on October 15, 1952. In July 2010, she moved to spend the rest of her life in Palmer, Alaska. During her life in North Dakota, she was employed with Griggs County Hospital. She also owned and operated a small grocery store in Valley City. While she lived in Palmer, she enjoyed living at the Chugach Colony Estates. She faithfully attended Immanuel Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed the fellowship of the members. She volunteered her time at the Palmer Senior Center Thrift Store. She loved to read and study the Bible. She also enjoyed traveling.
She is preceeded in death by her parents Henry and Mabel Adrian and her husband of 41 years, Neil Howatt; her sister Velva Schmiess, brother James Adrian, and brother Loygene Adrian.
She is survived by her children Monica Byars of Fargo, Wade (Tina) Howatt of Palmer, Alaska, Rick (Sherry) Howatt of Cooperstown; 7 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother Gordon Adrian and sister Ruth Schill.
Legacy Funeral Homes of Wasilla, Alaska was in charge of arrangements.
