The local haunt, owned by Bonnie Girodat, has recently added a salad bar to their restaurant.
The salad bar contains an assortment of delectables including toppings for the salad, pasta salads and two different varieties of sweets.
The delicious food doesn’t stop at the salad bar. The Country Inn’s has a juicy burger called the Country Burger, a bacon cheeseburger with sides is also a common item ordered by those who frequent the establishment. If patrons enjoy a beer with their burgers, the Country Inn has three beers available: Bud Lite, Miller Lite, and Coors Lite.
The kitchen has also recently added a new Asian salad to their menu that has nuts, mandarin oranges, cheese, grilled chicken and a superb oriental dressing finishing it off.
While there are new items on the menu for patrons, one thing that hasn’t changed are the homemade items. Every morning Girodat wakes up and makes a new batch of homemade soup for patrons. Each day has a different soup except for Fridays which is always tomato soup.
Another homemade item is the pie. Girodat’s mother, Delores, makes the pies which are fresh and seasonal.
“Apple, pumpkin, blueberry, when in season and rhubarb in the summer time,” Girodat said.
During harvest time, the Country Inn also offers a special for area producers to enjoy and farm wives to take advantage of.
“We offer two cheeseburgers and fries, which is a pretty good sized order of fries,” Girodat stated.
The Country Inn also offers pizza specials during harvest time giving patrons $2 off their pizza.
The hours for the Country Inn are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturdays, the hours are 8 a.m. until roughly 7 p.m. and Sundays are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
