With the recent move to a bigger location, owners Adam and Austin Lafrenz look to continue to provide that standard for many more years to come.
Schroeder Furniture previously had two locations in Langdon, but even those two locations did not seem adequate enough to provide customers with the full scope of what Schroeder Furniture offered.
“We decided that our floor space was kind of getting cramped and a nice, big, open building would allow us to better display room scenes as well as be handicap accessible,” Austin said.
When ALCO closed, the opportunity to move into the location on the west side of Langdon was a way to move both of their locations under one roof, creating a one stop shopping experience for customers to make their dream home come to life. The decision to move to a new location ultimately came down to timing for the Lafrenz brothers.
“The timing was everything. Nobody was going to be moving into this big building, so we thought what could be better than moving two stores into one?” Adam said.
Schroeder Furniture has furniture for every room and need – from office to kitchen, living room to adult’s and kid’s bedrooms, and the decorative accents in between.
“We have furniture and accents for every room,” Austin said.
Don’t stop at the furniture to make your house a home, Schroeder’s has a vast selection of floor coverings as well.
“We do everything from carpet to ceramic to hardwoods to luxury vinyl tiles and planking,” Adam said.
Schroeder’s not only has furniture and floor coverings but also backsplash tile and a wide selection of over a thousand paint colors from the high quality Benjamin Moore paint collection.
“Paint is a good way to freshen up your house and is an easy way,” Adam said.
Now that Schroeder’s has a new home, one addition that customers can look forward to is the addition of outdoor furniture.
“We will definitely be broadening our selection,” Adam said.
The goal that Schroeder Furniture has moving forward will be to keep an updated floor, always have new stuff in and the latest trend whether it be pictures, flooring or furniture.
The Lafrenz brothers wish to thank their employees for going the extra mile during the transition to the new location. A special thank you to Rick and Peggy Benoit for being very supportive of the decision to move the business to a new location.
“Thank you to Langdon and the surrounding communities for making Schroeder’s a success,” Austin said.
