A funeral service was held Friday, September 4, 2015 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Des Moines, Iowa for Robert A. Logan, 87, of Des Moines, Iowa.

He died August 31, 2015 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Robert was born November 26, 1927 to Clem and Grace (Hollenbeck) Logan in Brycilin, Minn. He served as Pastor for 38 years in various cities in North Dakota, including: Hannah, New Rockford, Bowbells, Kindred, Willinston, Streeter, Harvey, Bismarck, McClusky, Cavalier, and Napoleon. He also served in Lamberton, Minn. He retired in 1989 but never stopped loving and serving his Lord. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and Nebraska Cornhusker football. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Logan; daughter, Barbara Thiege; his parents; and his siblings, Clayton, Wayne, Viola, Dale and Gloria.

Robert is remembered by his children, Roberta (Jeffrey) Schmidt, David (Rose) Logan, and Jeffrey (Kim) Logan; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Rex Logan; along with a host of extended family and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church.
