As we go through the Labor Day Weekend, our annual Fall Sports Preview is in this issue of the Republican. In it you can find great information about all fall Langdon-Munich sports teams, including schedules and coaches interviews, plus team pictures. Thanks to all of the many sponsors who made this years preview possible, and we hope you enjoy it.

Langdon-Munich Sports Boosters to hold next meeting Munich

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the next Langdon-Munich Sports Boosters meeting will be moved to Wednesday for this month only, and their September meeting will be held at the Munich Fire and Ambulance Hall at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Anyone in the Munich area is welcome to attend, as they will be discussing ways to help out all of the fall, winter and spring Langdon-Munich school teams of all levels. It’s a great way for folks in Munich and western Cavalier County to find out what the sports boosters are all about. They will go back to their regular scheduled meetings starting in October which are the first Monday of each month at the Langdon Eagles Club basement.

Flag Football league has started in Langdon

We are a little late getting to this, but a flag football has been started once again in Langdon for grades 1-3 from Langdon and Munich.  They started last Monday, but will still be going with practice every Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Langdon practice field, and they will have games at halftime of every Cardinals varsity home game, starting this Friday, Sept. 11. It’s not too late to get your child involved and both boys and girls are welcome to play.  If you have questions please contact Jeff Schneider at TR Waind Insurance at 256-2166. It’s a great way to introduce you child to the game of football, and they emphasize having fun.

Langdon Country Club league playbacks now available

Tuesday Night Men’s League secretary Randy Hill wanted us to mention that league points payback slips are now ready to be picked up at the clubhouse.  These are for points collected in the second half of the league season, and must be used between now and the end of October, see please grab them at your convenience. By the way, Tuesday Men’s Stag nights are going to continue now until well in October, and outside of that the course is wide open for everyone to enjoy.

“See ya!” next week!
