“The big addition for us is going to be our Sunday Brunch,” owner and chef Malinda Schwandt said.
Serving breakfast on Sundays was an easy decision for Schwandt, and Stables will begin offering a vast assortment of breakfast options for their Sunday Brunch. Stables is set to begin serving hungry customers their breakfast on September 20.
The selection of the brunch is astounding and will be sure to have something for even the pickiest eater. The brunch service will have breakfast main dish favorites such as scrambled eggs, cheesy hash browns or breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, white and wheat toast, pancakes. Stables will also have a rotation of fresh and new items such as French toast, cinnamon or caramel rolls, fruit, homemade scones, muffins, coffee cakes, and the buffet will always include apple juice, orange juice, and coffee.
The Sunday Brunch is not the only addition to the menu as Stables is expanding in many different ways to bring the best service and food products to the Langdon area.
“With lots of afterhours work from staff, food distributors and some of our regular customers, we have decided to grow as a business,”Schwandt said.
Stables has also added new items to its menu including new burgers, salads, sandwiches, pastas, entrees, fresh seafood options and even more pizzas. Schwandt shared that Stables is also preparing to install a new tap beer system that will allow the restaurant to offer six seasonal tap beers instead of three.
“The addition of tall and short tap beers has been a huge hit, so we expect the bigger selection of taps will go over just as well,” Schwandt said.
Stables offers a wide variety of hard liquors, bottled beers, sweet alcoholic drinks, and a selection of seven different wines, Coke products, and sweet and unsweetened ice teas making the beverage assortment one for everybody.
“The food we offer is some of the best products available on the market today and anything that we can make homemade, we do,” Schwandt said.
The unlimited salad bar is made up of all fresh and homemade salads, fresh vegetables, romaine lettuce blend, six different dressings, homemade croutons and a selection of toppings. Many of the entrees offered are also handmade and include juicy burgers, savory meatballs, pasta sauces, soups, and Stables signature chop sauce.
“We, as a business, really focus on giving our guests a true home-cooked meal. It’s what we stand behind and it’s what we do,” Schwandt stated.
Stables offers specials throughout the week and on Fridays will have the biggest selection of discounts and offers. The selection begins with 25 cent chicken wings available in five flavors, buy any large pizza and get a second large pizza for half price, and one dollar off on our tap beers including talls. As if that wasn’t enough, Stables is introducing Pizza Punch Cards as well, which will give guests even bigger discounts.
Stables will start their seasonal hours beginning on Sept. 15. The hours that Stables will be open will be Tuesday through Saturday from 5-9 p.m. with Sunday Brunch from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
“Our seasonal hours and the additions to our business really came from our guests and the communities around us. We have had lots of inquires about offering Sunday Brunch for awhile now and the timing has become available,” Schwandt said.
With the expansion of business that Stables has undergone, the restaurant is also looking to expand their staff.
“We have different positions available, flexible scheduling, a clean and fun environment to work in, staff discounts and more,” Schwandt stated.
