The official move date to the new location was October 29 of this year.

“The new location is very convenient for our members to both see and access,” Sarah Overby, a Financial Associate as Thrivent Financial, said .

When the opportunity to purchase an existing building on main street presented itself, Overby and Rachelle Fetsch couldn’t let it pass.

“Having a presence right on main street was very important to us. We strive to be a “practice for the people”, and what better way to serve our members than for us to be in  a place where they can “see” us and know that we are here to serve their needs?” Overby said.

Overby and Fetsch were in need of a bigger office space as they found that their old location was not meeting their needs anymore.

“As more and more people have been finding value in our services, we really outgrew our old space,” Overby said.

Along with the move, Overby and Fetsch also added additional office support in the form of  Laura Borstad – Dease. The goal for Overby and Fetsch moving forward is to continue to invest in their business.

“The more we can invest back into our business, the better overall client experience we can provide to our members,” Overby said.

A relatively new concept on the national level is something called “action teams”. If you’ve seen a lot of the gray “live generously t-shirts” around your community, it’s because Thrivent Financial members are making a difference in the community that they live in. Creating awareness for their members about funding that is available for acts of generosity is of utmost importance to Overby and Fetsch.

“We encourage people to ask questions about this new program. We’ve already seen an amazing amount of people utilizing this resource. The impact that it has had in Langdon and surrounding communities is astounding,”Overby said.

The focus for Thrivent Financial in regards to helping their customers is on comprehensive financial planning.

“We love helping people in all walks of life and all ages. Our mission is to help our members be wise with money, so they can lead more balanced and generous lives,” Overby stated.

Their services are based on individual goals. Some of the products and services are: retirement accumulation and distribution, educational funding, retirement plans (IRAs, SEPs, SIMPLEs, 403b plans), mutual funds, brokerage services, life insurance, disability income insurance, annuities, long term care insurance, Medicare supplement insurance, and estate planning strategies.

“This list is not all inclusive. If you have questions about what we offer, please call or stop in,” Overby said.

The new location is 716 3rd Street (the old Choice Financial Insurance location). Thrivent Financial is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Appointments outside of business hours may also be scheduled.
