The commission discussed a proposal that Langdon Activity Center Director Judy Lill had received from the Langdon Area School District Superintendent Mark Mindt and Athletic Director Ethen Askvig regarding the use of the activity center gym.

The school is looking to do a one time lease of sorts for use of the gym after school from 4-6 p.m. Monday through Friday from August until March. The reasoning behind this proposal is that the school has so many co-op sports occurring simultaneously that the use of the gym during that time is a guarantee.

Lill stated that this would not affect events that have already been scheduled such as a few weddings, the Northern Canola Growers Expo and the toy show.

Mindt and Askvig were unable to attend the meeting due to a conflict. The commission decided to table the proposal until the two could be present and a more in-depth discussion on details could take place.
The commission received an invitation from Cavalier County Emergency Manager Karen Kempert to participate in an online tornado drill course. Langdon City Auditor passed on the information that Kempert had sent to the commission and that should any commissioner be interested in participating they were to contact Kempert for more information.
