A crazy week of baseball

We go this week by saying what a week it has been. The Northeast Region American Legion Baseball Tournament was to be held in Langdon July 20-24. But rain after rain forced the tourney to be moved to Tolna. This obviously was not an easy decision, but unfortunately had to be done. The grounds crew did an unbelievable job working endless hours to try and get things ready but Mother Nature had other ideas. Thanks to Marty Tetrault, Jay Adam, Tyler Feist, Connor Tetrault and Hayes Haslakaas for trying their best. We have complete tournament coverage next week.
T-Ball fundraiser goes well
Parents Day for Langdon T-Ball was finally held on July 18. It was rained out three different times, but the last day went well. Thrivent Financial held a hot dog cookout to raise funds for the league, and we are happy to say they made 543 dollars for the day. Thanks to Sarah, Rachelle and Laura at Thrivent for putting this on, and thanks to everyone for graciously donating to the event.
Men’s City Tournament rescheduled
The Langdon Country Club is going through the busiest part of their tourney season, but more is still to come, The Mens City Tournament was rained out a couple weeks ago and now will be held on Aug. 4, with registration at 2:30 p.m., tee off at 3:30. Also the annual Mens Miller Lite tourney is coming up on Aug. 13. Signup sheets for both tournaments can be found in the clubhouse.
Crazy crazy weather
We will leave you by saying we are thinking about everyone who had damage from nasty weather that came through our area July 20-21. I can’t remember a tougher month of July than the one we are going through, and we wish everyone the best in getting through these roughy times.
We hope is having or had a great Musicfest weekend, and “See ya!” Next week!
