Pletcher, who has been teaching private voice and piano lessons since 1998, has a Bachelors in Music Education from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.
Starting in September, Pletcher will be offering piano, voice, or piano/voice combined lessons for students of all ages. Pletcher will have openings with days and times available on a first come-first serve basis.
“Music is a gift a child will carry with them the rest of their lives,” Pletcher said.
Pletcher suggests that parents who would like to have their child learn piano or undertake singing lessons sign their child up when they are in second grade. However, for adults who would like to learn, Pletcher is willing to help them learn or expand their knowledge.
“It is never too late to start. I have adult students as well,” Pletcher said.
Pletcher has experience with many different styles of singing and playing that she can teach her students. From basic technique, ear training, to musical theater, classical, pop, praise and worship, and more.
Pletcher’s favorite aspect of being a music teacher is the students.
“Seeing a student fall in love with music is amazing,” Pletcher said, “Every student is unique, and it is an adventure to discover what kind of music will inspire each student.”
