Owner and creator of these unique items, Jess Balsdon will be hosting the grand opening on September 23 from 12 to 8 p.m., the 24th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the 25th from 12 to 5 p.m. with the option for early bird sales on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Balsdon describes her creations as home decor for every style. She does custom orders, as well as creating many of her own signs and unique items.   What started from passion and big dreams has now found a permanent home.

“When I started Jess’s Junk two years ago I always wished I would have a store front,” Balsdon said, “so when my husband’s old house became available, we decided that would be the perfect place for Jess’s Junk.”

Balsdon will work out of the shop in Osnabrock, with most of her sales being online through Facebook, Etsy, or vendor/craft fairs.

“Which is nice but not having to move or ship items will be wonderful,” Balsdon said.

Balsdon’s treasures, along with five other talented crafters items, will be available in her store. The items that customers will be able to find include reclaimed pallet signs, furniture, knick knacks to handmade soaps and lotions. There will be something for everyone.

“I knew right away I wanted to have other crafters’ creations in my store as I know how exciting it is to see your items in a store,” Balsdon shared.

So far, Balsdon will also carry merchandise from the CV Sisters, who make  all natural hand made soaps, lotions, lip balms. Pepper’s Crafts & Stuff, which is magnets and such will also have a selection available. Fabulously Flawed Finds, Tam’s Rustic Design, and New2U by Jodi O are all home decor creators that will round out the selection of items that Jess’s Junk will provide to the area.

“All have their own unique style, and it will be so neat to see them all displayed together in the store,” Balsdon stated.

If you are interested in having your creations available at Jess’s Junk, Balsdon is always looking for different vendors.

“This sale is geared towards Fall so there will be lots of cute fall decor for your house and yard,” Balsdon said.

Balsdon will hold a sale once a month, but the date and times will vary. The October’s sale is set for the weekend of the 28th.

“It will always be advertised in the paper along with flyers around town, and on my Facebook page,” Balsdon said.
