LACC dashes into Christmas Season

The Langdon Area Chamber of Commerce and it’s member businesses are ready to celebrate the holiday season with three events.

Christmas Cash Giveaway begins the festive spirit with tickets being given out on Friday, Nov. 25 and lasts until the final drawing on Dec. 17. Deals After Dark will give Christmas shoppers something to carol about on Thursday, Dec. 1 and the Winter Wonderland Brunch on the morning of Dec. 3 will begin jolly Saturday of Christmas merriment with the Langdon Area Christmas Tour of Homes following later that same day.
The Christmas Cash Giveaway will be awarding $2,000 in Langdon Bucks over the course of the contest. Sponsoring businesses will give tickets to qualifying purchases with prize drawings be held on Dec. 3, 10, 17. To be eligible to win, participants must be in a sponsoring business by 11:30 a.m. the day of the drawing with tickets in hand.
Deals After Dark will once again be offering area shoppers a chance to support local businesses while getting great deals on Christmas gifts. The evening of savings begins at 5 p.m. and will go until 8 p.m. Participating businesses include: Cutting Edges, Glitz and Glam, Langdon Drug, Langdon Floral, ,Langdon’s General Store, Langdon Hardware, The Perfect Blend, Regal Liquor, Schroeder Furniture, Sew on & Sew North, Sports and Shirts, and Quality Specialty Products & Printing. As if the savings wasn’t prize enough, Christmas Cash Giveaway tickets will accompany the purchases and there will also be a drawing for three prizes totaling $300 in Langdon Bucks.
To qualify for the drawing, simply make a purchase at any of the participating businesses and get an entry. Want to increase your chances of winning? There is one entry per business per purchase, so shopping at more than one business garners more entries.
The Winter Wonderland Brunch will open its doors on Dec. 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the Langdon Research Center with brunch served at 10 a.m. Tickets are $10 and available Farmers & Merchants State Bank, Choice Financial Bank and the Chamber office.
Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on gift baskets during the silent auction. A portion of the proceeds raised by the silent auction will go to the Week-END Kids Hunger Project.
