Memorial services were held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Acacia Memorial Park, Seattle, Wash. for Maxine Shea, 95, of Renton, formerly Kenmore, Wash.
She passed away on December 2, 2016.
Maxine was born on September 22, 1921 in Perry Township, N. Dakota. Maxine was one of five children born to Ole and Olene Berven, including Blanche Nelson of Langdon, Irma Knudson, Orville Berven and Jeanne Hudson. After graduating from high school, Maxine was a schoolteacher in a one room school house in North Dakota. She lived in Puyallup during WWII and worked at Boeing as a mechanic building B-29 bombers. Maxine married Frank Shea in 1948 and together they enjoyed 42 years of marriage until his passing in 1990. We’ll miss playing cards, eating good food, sharing holidays, and trips to the beach with Maxine.
Maxine is survived by her son, Patrick Shea and his wife, Gayle; her daughter Jane Shea and her husband, Jonas Robinson; and three grandchildren: Mike and Christopher Shea and Aimee Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters and brother.
