Lorraine Rudow

Funeral Services were held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd, Minn. on January 25, 2017, for Lorraine Agnes (Mann) Rudow, 90, of Brainerd, Minn.

She passed away on January 20 at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany in Brainerd, Minn.

Interment will take place in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks, next to her husband Robert E. “Bob” Rudow.

Lorraine Agnes (Mann) Rudow was born on February 22, 1927 in Loma, to Philip Mann and Mary Dech. She graduated in 1944 from St Alphonsus High School in Langdon.  After Lorraine graduated, she entered the Cadet Nurse Corp. in Valley City. It was there that Lorraine met the love of her life; Robert E. “Bob” Rudow.  Lorraine graduated as an “RN” Registered Nurse from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in August of 1947.  Less than a year later on June 29th, 1948, Bob and Lorraine were married in Nekoma.  She continued to work at various hospitals including St. Michael’s and United Hospital in Grand Forks, . until she retired in 1987.

Lorraine is survived by her children Charles (Linda), Paul (Irene), Karen (Sheldon) Lentz, John (Gloria),  James (Karen Vanyo),  Michael (Penny Kelstrom-Rudow), Barbara Singleton, Cheryl (Larry) Funk. Brother Thomas (Mary) Mann.  Many grand, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Bob Rudow, her parents Philip and Mary Mann, Grandson Kory Rudow, Brothers/ Sisters Anna, Lewis (Jeanne), Charles (Dorothy), Edward “Shorty” (Lona), Jacob (Kay), Richard (Eva “Chris”), Bernard (Lorraine), Roland, Lillian (Art) Loff, Chester, Cecelia (Bob) Bimler, Henry “Hank” (Carol).

Nelson-Doran Funeral Home of Brainerd, Minn. was in charge of arrangements. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
