Funeral Services were held Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Langdon United Methodist Church for Melvin A. Goschke, 87, of Langdon, who passed away Sunday, May 28, 29017 at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.
Burial will be held at the Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon.
Melvin Alan Goschke was born June 12, 1929, near Munich to Reinhold and Minnie (Lembke) Goschke. He grew up in Moscow Township where he attended school. From 1952 to 1954, he served in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the service he farmed in Moscow Township. On June 10, 1956, he married Vivian Maxwell at Concrete. They lived on the farm until moving to Langdon in 2005. He was very mechanical and enjoyed fixing everything from tractors to lawn mowers and any small engines. He was a member of the Langdon American Legion Post.
He is survived by his children: Jeff Goschke of Fargo, Greg (Debbie) Goschke of Oslo, Minn.; son-in-law Lionel McMechan of Malita, Manitoba; and grandchildren: Brendan and Mikayla McMechan & Bailey Goschke.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Vivian on July 27, 2005, daughter Lori McMechan, grandson Jordan McMechan, and siblings Deloris Law and Elmer Goschke.
