Walsh’s husband’s job as a radio announcer for Simmons Multi-Media has taken them to several states. The couple relocated from Green Bay, Wisc. to Langdon with their 12-year-old mini-doxie in 2013. Before living in North Dakota and Wisconsin, they lived in Montana, Minnesota, and Iowa.

Since opening studio in October of 2013, Walsh has developed relationships with surrounding communities and health care professionals that have helped her expand her business. She travels to Cando, Devils Lake and Cavalier to teach and train.

Walsh’s training is extensive. She has been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for more than 26 years. She went to school in Montana and Wisconsin, majoring in exercise physiology.

Walsh maintains several certifications. She is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)and is a member of the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).

Walsh also has extensive health care experience, also. She worked for 14 years at Bellin Sports Medicine Hospital. While there she worked as a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. Walsh saw a variety of patients at the hospital. She helped rehab patients with a wide range of injuries and ailments. She cared for joint replacement patients, a wide range of injuries and accidents, athletes, and cardiac rehab patients.

To stay current with the latest information and trends in fitness, she continues to upgrade her education through college courses, workshops, and new certifications. Walsh declares, “Health and wellness are my passion and my joy!”

Some of the group classes Walsh offers include yoga, gentle yoga, active adult, strength, butz & gutz, pound class, and boot camps. She also offers personalized individual training, partners and small group training.
