Funeral services were held Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Nekoma Lutheran Church in Nekoma for Judith Moen, 68, of Nekoma, who passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in Langdon.
Burial at Highland Cemetery, rural Nekoma.
Judith Christine was born June 11, 1949, in Langdon to Chris and Clara (Kjemhus) Amoth. She attended country school at Moscow #1 near Wales until third grade then moved with her family to Langdon where she graduated from Langdon High School in 1967. She continued her education by taking night classes through Lake Region State College. She married Earl Moen on October 5, 1974, at the United Lutheran Church in Langdon. They lived in Langdon until 1978 when they moved to Nekoma. She worked at Cavalier County Social Services for 48 years, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed scrapbooking and genealogy. She loved spending time with her family. She was a former member of Eastern Star and was a member of Nekoma Lutheran Church.
Surviving Judy are her husband, Earl, of Nekoma; sons: Chris (Pepper) Moen of Nekoma and Kyle (Sarah) Moen of Nekoma; grandchildren: Bailey, Kyleigh, Chase, Jada, Abel, and Axel; and siblings: Carmen Amoth of Walhalla and Joyce (Gary) Ridley of Langdon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Maureen Amoth, Kenny Amoth, Ruthie Darling and Gerald Amoth (infant).
