New faces at Farmers and Merchants State Bank

If you’ve been into Farmers and Merchants State Bank in the last few months, you’ve probably noticed some fresh, new faces.  The bank is pleased to announce the recent addition of three new staff members.

Karen Stremick

Karen joined Farmers and Merchants at the beginning of March.  She currently assists bank customers as a frontline specialist, and also provides support and backup for transaction processing. Karen is an NSDU graduate, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics.  Her previous work experience includes 17 years of employment with the City of Moorhead in the Parks & Recreation and Building Codes divisions.  Karen’s son, Maddux, is currently a 3rd-grader at Langdon Elementary School.

Steph Nelson

Steph has been with FM Bank since April, and is the bank’s main transaction processor. She also assists customers as a frontline specialist. Steph, a lifelong resident of Langdon, graduated from Langdon High School, and studied accounting at UND and Minot State College. Her work experience includes nearly 13 years of employment in banking. Steph and her husband, Ben, have three children – Kiarra, Sarah and Noah.

Jenna Martin

Jenna is the most recent addition to the bank’s staff, having joined the bank in September. Originally from Walhalla, Jenna graduated from NDSU with a degree in Business Administration. Her previous work experience includes employment with another area financial institution. Jenna is training with the bank’s lending staff and will be providing customers with consumer, commercial and agricultural financing. Jenna and her husband, Jeremy, currently farm near Rocklake. They have twin daughters, Audrey and Bianca, and a son, Myles.

“We’re excited to have Karen, Steph and Jenna join us” says FM Bank president, Chalmer Dettler.  “All three have been great additions to our staff.”
