All proceeds benefit farmers and ranchers in crisis.

“It [Farm Rescue] is something I never thought I’d need,” explained Jamestown, N.D. Farmer, Russell Carlson. “It’s unbelievable and hard to explain how good it feels just to get out there and feel useful again.” After experiencing a tragic, paralyzing accident, Farm Rescue was not only able to help Carlson make it through the season by harvesting his wheat crop, but The Farm Rescue Foundation enabled Carlson to continue farming by providing a tractor lift, as well. “You can’t ask for nicer people, and I can’t say enough about the sponsors. Without their sponsorship, this would not happen.”

The fundamental American ideal of honest hard work that epitomizes farming and ranching still exists today. As Farm Rescue Foundation Grain Bin Raffle sponsors explain, agriculture drives communities and is the backbone of our economy. When farming and ranching are threatened, people come together to form a powerful force against unexpected illness, natural disaster and major injury in a world where “paid time off” and “sick leave” don’t exist.

The Farm Rescue Foundation measures success by the number of families assisted and the rural communities strengthened because independent farm families are able to continue their livelihood. The historic American farm practice of “barn-raising,” in which people selflessly and wholeheartedly lend a helping hand in times of unexpected crisis, rings true to Farm Rescue Foundation supporters and Farm Rescue Founder, Bill Gross. “I think that saying is true – that we rise ourselves when we lift others, and that’s the true essence of our organization,” said Gross.

“Through generous sponsors, donors and volunteers of Farm Rescue and The Farm Rescue Foundation, we are helping farmers not only make it through the season, but also help them continue to farm for seasons to come. There’s no better gift or legacy to leave than to help others and support our American heritage of independent farm families. We have faith the Farm Rescue Foundation Grain Bin Raffle will be a hit and this event will continue for many years down the road helping future farmers in need.”

About Farm Rescue Foundation The Farm Rescue Foundation provides assistance to farmers and ranchers stricken by an unexpected major injury, illness or natural disaster. Assistance is provided following a crisis so farmers and ranchers are able to continue to their livelihood by way of tractor lifts or other types of disability assistance equipment. Farm Rescue Foundation board of directors review all requests for assistance and approve cases based on each unique situation and available resources. As a nonprofit organization whose operations rely solely on donations and volunteers, the Farm Rescue Foundation can only continue to provide hope and help to family farmers in crisis as long as it continues to receive support from donors, who donate money, securities and property to the Farm Rescue Foundation.
