A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon, for Dennis Howatt, age 60, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018, at his home near Langdon.
Dennis was born Nov 17, 1957, in Langdon to Lyle and Genevieve (Mayer) Howatt. He grew up and went to school in the Langdon area. After finishing school, he continued to live and work on the family farm. Later in life, he worked for Chris and Tom Olson, enjoying his time working the fields. He always wore a baseball cap, had a smile on his face and loved being around people.
Dennis is survived by his siblings: Cathy (Terry) Metzger of Valley City, Dean Howatt of Anchorage, AK, and Joan (Todd) Nowek of Edina, Minn.; nephews Shannon (Kelli) Metzger of Fargo, and Bill (Cami) Metzger of Towner; niece Erika (Ben) Parker of Wasilla, AK; great-nephews: Colton Metzger and brothers Kavan and Kaydn Metzger; and great-nieces Jessi Metzger, Kaitlyn Metzger, and sisters Elise and Richelle Parker.
