A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Langdon for Ethel A. Lill, 91, of Langdon, who passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon.
Burial at the Calvary Cemetery, Langdon.
Ethel A. Hoffarth was born July 9, 1927 at Langdon to Henry and Anna (Bodensteiner) Hoffarth. She grew up in the Maida area, where she attended school. She then worked as a waitress in Langdon. In November of 1945, she married Edward Lill at Maida. They lived and farmed near Loma. Things she enjoyed were word finds, butterflies, and gardening.
She is survived by her children: Bob (Linda) Lill, Langdon, Linda Zerr (James Edwards), Everett, Wash., Dan (Diane) Lill, Loma, Tony (Judy) Lill, Langdon, Gene (Sharyl) Lill and Dave (Shirley) Lill, all of Grand Forks, Brent (Noma) Lill, Auburn, Wash., and Troy Lill, Langdon; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Edward; sons: Gary, Wayne, and Mark; grandson, Chad and great-grandson, Oliver; siblings, Romeo and Beatrice.
