Keep North Dakota Clean (KNDC) is celebrating their 51st year for having the largest and longestrunning artwork contests in the state for students in grades PreK-12! The purpose of the contests are to motivate youth and adults to take action in their daily lives to keep our state clean and healthy for the people and animals that live and visit here. Over 10,000 students annually participate in the KNDC contests. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2019. The rules and regulations, along with an entry form for both contests can be downloaded at www.keepnd- clean.org.
KNDC is proud to partner with Newman Outdoor Advertising to sponsor an artwork contest for students in grades Prek-8 and special abilities. Their piece must reflect their knowledge about the responsibility we all have to keep our state and water clean, reduce litter and waste, recycle, plant trees, prevent wildfires, create wildlife habitat, and use all our natural resources wisely.
Every school is encouraged to participate. One winning artwork from each classroom from grades PreK-8 and special needs may be submitted. First place PreK-8 artwork winners receive a cash award of $100, certificate, gold medallion, and have their artwork made into billboards by Newman Outdoor Advertising and placed near their hometowns. Second place winners receive a cash award of $75, certificate, and silver medallion; third place winners receive a cash award of $50, certificate, and a bronze medallion.
