Orville Lampson

Funeral service were held Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Swiss Mennonite Church in Alsen for Orville Lampson, 94, of Alsen, who passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon. Burial will be held in the spring at the Alsen Cemetery.

Orville was born March 25, 1924, at Grano, ND, to Grove and Selma (Oberg) Lampson. He grew up in and attended school at Grano and graduated from Lansford High School. He worked as a Soo Line Railroad agent at various places in Minnesota. In 1951, he became the railroad agent at Alsen, and served there until his retirement in 1984. Orville was active in the Alsen area in many community activities. On October 3, 1954, Orville married Dorothy Harder.

She survives him as do his children: Pat Knutson of Starkweather and Wesley Lampson of Alsen; grandsons Tyler Knutson and Sean (Barb) Knutson; and one great-grandson, Nash. Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers: George, John, and Lloyd.
