A funeral service was held Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River, Wis., for Betty Sheffler, age 76, a 5-year resident of St. Germain, Wis. and formerly of Langdon, who passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2019, at St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston, Wis.
Betty was born on December 27, 1942, in Carlisle, Pa., to her parents, Morris and Geraldine Schneider. She was married to Rev. Charles Sheffler on June 6, 1970, in Carlisle, Pa. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and spending time on the water. She was a dedicated member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and loved to go to church and attend Sunday morning Bible Study. She was also a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Langdon; Trinity Lutheran Church in Bergland, Mich. and St. John’s Lutheran in Deer Lodge, Mich.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Charles Sheffler, of St. Germain, Wis.; and children: Adam (Jennifer) of Springfield, Mo., Matthew (JoAnn) of Ironwood, Mich. and Jennifer (Todd) Cook of Butte, Mont.. She was a Nana to her 8 grandchildren: Matthew, Nicholas, T.J., Tiffany, Hailey, Trinity, Lauren and Quincy. She loved her dog, Chase. Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
