SB 2314
SB 2314 bill passed, and this is what it includes: Disabled Past Military Service Member access to NDDVA loan and grants, Veterans Preference. CVSO Accreditation. Pre-approved by NDACTVSO, Commissioner, ACOVA and NDVLC. A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact sections 37-14-01.1 and 37-14-18 and subsection 8 of section 37-19.1-01 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to the accreditation of county veterans service officers and the definition of a veteran for purposes of veterans relief and rehabilitation and veterans preference.
This bill would…
• Add ND Military Service members not meeting definition of veteran under NDCC 37-01-40 but have a Service Connected VA disability rating as eligible for:
• NDDVA Loan Program
• NDDVA Grant Program
• ND Veterans Employment Preference
• Add National Guard 20 year honorably discharged service members to ND Veterans Employment Preference
• Remove Wartime and resident requirement for ND Veterans Employment Preference

The veterans in Cavalier County deserve better. However, unless something drastic happens, I should be around for a while as I don’t plan to retire until the end of next year. So
