The Lady Cards were 6-1 in the tourney, beating Linton-HMB, Minot Ryan, Kenmare and Center- Stanton in pool play. The Cardinals then met LaMoure-Litchville-Marion, a team they had lost to earlier in the season, in the first round of the tournament bracket. This meeting with the Loboes would be different as the Cards won handily by set scores of 25-15 and 25-12. That win put them in the semifinals against Carrington where they lost a hard fought match. Langdon-Edmore- Munich was up 21-17 in the first set then lost 25-23. They dominated Carrington in set two 25-15 before losing the decisive third set 15-12. The Lady Cards then settled for third place, winning over Thompson 25-23 and 25-21. Minot Our Redeemer’s beat Carrington for the tournament title.
Cardinals middle hitter and senior Callie Ronningen passed a big milestone in the tournament going over 2,000 kills in her great volleyball career. Ronningen also had three double-doubles in kills and digs in the tourney, while Calyn Crockett had one with assists and digs.
