Robert L. Duerr, 75, of Langdon, passed away March 1, 2020, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.

Robert Lee was born February 18, 1945, in Devils Lake to Alfred and Dorothy (Buntjer) Duerr of Nekoma. He attended school in Nekoma and graduated in 1963. He worked for area farmers until 1970. He married Joyce Johnson on September 5, 1970. They moved to Langdon where he was employed by the City of Langdon water department, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing, and doing yard work. He was an Elvis and Dodgers fan and had many items of each. Robert was a member of Eagles Aerie #3454 and Nekoma Lutheran Church.

Surviving Robert are his wife, Joyce, of Langdon; brothers: Ray of Osnabrock, James of Nekoma, and Glen of Tacoma, Wash.; sister-in-law: Veronica Duerr of Langdon, Phyllis Schwan of Devils Lake, and Linda Vasichek of Lakota; brother-in-law Leonard (Wanda) Johnson of Cavalier; special friend and caregiver Glenn Christianson of Langdon along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Lee Duerr Jr. in 2000; in-laws Carroll and Grace (Thiessen) Johnson; brothers: Alfred, Lloyd, and Richard; niece Debra (Duerr) Nelson; sister-in-law Sandra Duerr; and brother-in-law Thomas Vasichek.

No services will be held per his wish. A private ceremony will be held later. Interment will be in the spring at Nekoma Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials can be directed to a charity of your choice.
